The THERMOLIGN Dead-end is specifically designed for applications on ACSS/AW, ACSS/TW, and ACCR
conductors. The design allows for continuous conductor operating temperatures up to 250°C.

The CUSHION-GRIP Twin Spacer is simple to install and is shipped fully assembled (no loose parts). The break-away bolt provides a clear indication that the proper installation torque has been achieved (no special
tools required). Conductor Spacing is 18 inches (457 mm).
For standard 18″ (457mm) sub-conductor spacing the catalog numbers are:
Where T is B for Type “B” or “C” for Type “C” YZ is taken from the conductor range table below X is 2 for Twin, 3 for Tri, 4 for Quad, 6 for Hex
CGSDB-34529 is a Type “B” Spacer Damper for a Tri Bundle of conductors within a diameter range of 1.107″ to 1.146″ (28-29 mm).

For repair of fatigue-damaged conductors, a specially designed ARMOR-GRIP Suspension can be applied over Armor Rods to extend the life of the conductor. Wrench-formed rods must
be removed when conductor fatigue occurs under them; a splice is then applied to the fatigued area and the AGS Unit is applied over the splice. When considering the use of this product, consult the Factory for an engineering recommendation.

Helically scaled for interplay of damper and conductor, to provide the action/reaction motion
that opposes the natural vibration wave.
Water/Canyon Crossings – due to the increased potential of laminar wind flow, an additional 50% more dampers per span should be added to the standard recommendations above for adequate protection. In areas that are prone to high levels of vibration or conductor tension is in excess of 18% RBS, consult Preformed Line Products for specific recommendations.

The range of DOGBONE vibration dampers is a development resulting from our extensive experience and research in the field of conductor vibration control. The DOGBONE damper concept is based on the known and proven principles of the Stockbridge damper but embodies improvements which increase both power dissipation and range of frequency response beyond those of standard Stockbridge types. The performance of the DOGBONE vibration damper has been further improved using the latest CIGRE and IEEE recommended methods including I.S.W.R. Power Dissipation and Mechanical Impedance Testing
